About DavidSince 1990, I have been happily involved in writing and teaching on the subject of vegan cooking. It continues to be a gratifying experience for me to be able to meet so many wonderful people and to share practical information on health and plant-based cooking. Perhaps most enjoyable of all is to be able to whip up tasty and wholesome vegan dishes that absolutely amaze even steadfast meat-eaters.The majority of people I meet are non-vegetarians and non-vegans. Many are health-conscious people wanting to learn how to better incorporate beans, soy, whole grains, and vegetables into their regular menus. Along the way, some are completely transformed by their exposure to the new tastes and textures and inherent wholesomeness of plant-based cooking. I favor meals that are quick and easy to prepare, that use a minimum of ingredients and instructions, and that use familiar ingredients that are used again and again in many other dishes, too. I have written a number of books, including my latest, David's Vegan Home Cooking.
